My purpose in writing this blog is to deliver to you little doses of reality to help the roots of your soul extend and become firmly grounded in Christ. In that, I am speaking of Christ Himself, the Living God of the Bible, not just notions of Him that you may entertain. I define truth and reality as Almighty God’s Only Son, Jesus Christ, The Messiah, Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, who was given to mankind as the final and eternal sin offering, manifesting the immeasurable grace and truth of God. The resurrection life with which He ascended is offered freely to anyone who will lay down his own to receive it. Life, grace, truth and reality are found in Christ alone (John 14:6; Colossians 2:17 NLT; Hebrews 9:10, below).
Deep and firm rooting enables you to be continually built up and strengthened in your faith which eventually leads you to be able to give thanks in all things (Eph. 5:20). Yes, even the bad things because you are extracting precious jewels from the rubble. I want you stabilized, focused and discerning such that you are never tossed to and fro, but firmly anchored even amidst the battering and bruising of a hurricane.

Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.
At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
For [the ceremonies] deal only with clean and unclean meats and drinks and different washings, [mere] external rules and regulations for the body imposed to tide the worshipers over until the time of setting things straight [of reformation, of the complete new order when Christ, the Messiah, shall establish the reality of what these things foreshadow–a better covenant].
For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
