I hear Your Spirit
Gently beckoning me,
Like a sparrow,
Step by step,
Nourished by each crumb,
I dine
On the Bread of Life.
I sense Your presence
Drawing me close,
Like a lamb,
Step by step,
Feasting on each handful.
I revel
In the abundance
Of Your banquet.
I listen to Your voice,
So tender,
So near,
Full of comfort and cheer.
Like a cloud
Grasped empty-handed,
You are there.
My soul stilled
In Your midst,
I revel
In beams of holiness.

Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will [h]dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Isaiah 49:10
They will not hunger or thirst,
Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down;
For He who has compassion on them will lead them
And will guide them to springs of water.
