Free Will

I love how we all live thinking that we have free will to do whatever we choose.

That used to be the case.

In the Garden of Eden before the fall of mankind, we enjoyed free will.

But as we fell, Scripture says, we all became slaves to sin.

The only way to escape slavery and enjoy free will again in this fallen world is to surrender to the love and acceptance and freedom that is found only in Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of mankind.

When we surrender to Him, life begins. We become slaves to righteousness.

In Christ is true freedom!

Romans 6:17
But thank God, though you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed.

Romans 6:16
Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?

Galatians 3:22
But the Scriptures [picture all mankind as sinners] shut up and imprisoned by sin, so that [the inheritance, blessing] which was promised through faith in Jesus Christ (the Messiah) might be given (released, delivered, and committed) to [all] those who believe [who adhere to and trust in and rely on Him].
