Going All the Way

Remember your teen years and the pressure from guys to “go all the way?”

You know those “Come hither” looks and gestures they give?

Back in the day, getting too close and going all the way were taboo and something we were taught to resist.

But…in a very different way, it’s good — very good — to go all the way.

What I mean is, if you want to go all the way, then do it. You don’t have to resist anymore.

You can go all the way — with God!

He most certainly wants to be close to you, even if you’ve never experienced closeness in a safe way before.

Although He will never manipulate you like those guys might have, He has left you specific invitations to come to Him. And if you know Him already, to come even closer.

In all of nature the Creator
and Lord of heaven and earth declares His glory. And as your Creator, throughout Scripture He declares His undying love for you leaving specific invitation and instruction for you to come to Him.

You have the invitations already. It’s time to R.S.V.P.

What are you waiting for?

Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

Isaiah 55:1 Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing].

Isaiah 55:2
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy].

Isaiah 55:3
Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David.
